I'm not paying fucking $30 for a digital download to a game made on GB Studio, that I will beat in a few hours and proceed to never play again.
No one owes you shit for programming uninspired games that are not only ripping off what you claim to had gotten inspiration from, but also use tools that other people came up with and act like you did all on your own.
Gameboy and Gameboy Color is currently the IT retro system for shit tier homebrew. Had to move on from NES. Still, the same thing. I'm not paying $90 for a cartridge of a subpar game, where the cartridge and materials look like cheap bootleg shit. All to appease and suck the wii wii of some arrogant social outcast who clearly isn't programming these games out of the love of the hobby. The ones who are aren't cocksuckers and have some self awareness.

Who said anything about charging $30 for a fucking mod? If that’s all you think indie games are you need to expand your horizons, or maybe don’t cause you deserve endless iterations of Call of Battlefield. plenty good indies are under $10 and some are even PWYW - meaning free unless you choose to pay.
You’re choosing to throw money at shitty remakes on digital platforms and wondering why you don’t own the 30th iteration of a game you keep buying when underneath admittedly uninspired bullshit and ai slop there are devs and small teams doing it all for months or years on end not expecting shit for their work and just hoping a few people have fun. Some of them probably should charge $30, but anything over $10 or even $5 is an uphill battle because no one buys shit on steam unless it’s under a fucking solar, and then wonder why it’s uninspired bullshit while they undervalue the amount of effort that goes into this sht anonymous 2 weeks ago
^ Who said anything about COD or mods other than you. I'm talking about overpriced original retro styled games. Something you don't seem to know anything about, before your projection about buying remakes for the umpteenth time. I don't buy remakes or "retro collections" for games that could be emulated right now. I'm not talking about big companies here. Read what I wrote, and cut the attitude. anonymous 2 weeks ago
^ I did read what you wrote it’s worthless ass garbage pretending everyone is charging $30 for indies when that’s nowhere near the common fucking price. Moreover, it’s a lot fucking more than just programming.
I’ll cut the attitude when you treat others with the same respect you expect and put in even a minuscule amount of research into any point you think you’re trying to make. Most indie games are nowhere fucking near $30. Plenty are more than asset flips and recycled garbage too. Plenty are years long effort that don’t pay off cause most devs do this shit for fun. It’s not a field you make a fucking profit from asshole anonymous 2 weeks ago
I’m the indie dev you’re trying to call greedy and you don’t know shit. This is obviously a response to my rant. Uninspired though? I’ve been open about my shit for months and I’ve gotten feedback telling me to keep going. Not from family, randoms. I’ve had an indie pub interview me via comments on bluesky for fucking 18 hours. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about
And despite all my shit I’m going PWYW. Fucking check yourself before you talk you punk ass keyboard warrior anonymous 2 weeks ago
^ Your response shows your arrogance. Like this rant just HAD to be about you. Like you're the only person who lives online and makes games for retro systems.
How about quit being an asshole. How about quit displaying that bitter socially inept personality that is probably a big factor in why you live in this shit.
You are greedy if you're charging $30 for a ROM to a (insert retro title here) knockoff you can easily beat in a few hours. Mad? Get some maxi pads. anonymous 2 weeks ago
