I'm better than you

Growing up is seeing people you looked up to being losers.

When I was younger there was this YouTuber I liked. Very small time channel. Dude was around 30 and reviewed Power Ranger stuff, which I still liked at the time.

He'd reply to my comments. I subscribed to him. He'd do shout-outs every time he got 20 or so new subscribers, that's how small his channel was.

Well, despite me and him messaging and me being a recent subscriber. He never mentioned me in any shout-out.

It pissed me off then and I still see it as wrong now. Only now, being around the same age as this guy was then, I see how much of a fucking loser he is.

He was smug and arrogant. Acting like a big shot for reviewing Power Rangers episodes he would have been too old for when they were new. His channel was most inhabited by people around their teens who were an appropriate age for those episodes when they aired.

The dude wasnt a pedo or anything. I just think he was a loser who wanted to pretend he was still a kid and did so by latching a little too hard to Power Rangers. With that show, you watch the ones that aired UNTIL the point you would have been too old for it. Not watching the episodes that would have aired when you were like 20.

Nothing wrong with liking something. There are normal adults who like Power Rangers, but they are out numbered by the weirdos. I'm glad I don't care about it anymore. The versions I liked are pretty unwatchable.
