If you want it done, do it yourself

So, I get a quote from this guy who lives 1/4 mile down the road and owns a gutter business. I need two nine foot gutters with downspouts on a new patio roofline installed this past summer, super easy, fast, clean install. I don't do this myself because I'm tired, and I mean real tired because I spent the entire summer prepping and painting my entire exterior and I'm just done and want to rest my weary bones. Question 1- How much? Question 2- when would this job be on your schedule?
Great, he says this is an easy ONE HOUR job, I can get this done in-between other stuff next week!
I'm happy and say great, he says he'll email me a quote by the morning.
Next day, nothing. Day after, nothing so I shoot him an email in case he wrote my email down wrong.
He responds pretty quick with a fair enough bid and I accept.
So, the following week comes and goes and he doesn't show up, call, nothing.
I text on the second week and say hey, what up? Oh, he says, I'll be over on Sunday at 9am. This is the Sunday at the start of week three.
So he shows up, hangs just the gutter part and claims the 'company' didn't send him the elbows for the downspouts. He will call them in the morning and get them sent right away and call me with an update of when they should arrive. This would be Monday. Monday, Tuesday, by Wednesday, I text him and ask hello? Update? Another day goes by and he finally responds an employee is going to go pick up the parts on Thursday and they will be here on the weekend to hang the downspouts. I say, ok, see you then.
So, Saturday, nothing, Sunday late in the day I get a text saying they were loading up my items and one of the employees stepped on my boxes and smashed my downspouts, now they have to reorder them. Luckily, the company said they can get the parts over-night to him by Monday (today) (week 5) and he will be here sometime after 12 noon. I say okay.
Well, yeah, this joker is a clown. I get a text around 2pm, he said, the items are running behind but will be here today. Great I say. Then another text at 5pm, yeah, you guessed it. Clown says all the parts are here but says he wants to come tomorrow morning so he can go to his mommy's birthday. Now, I know from experience, it only takes a maximum of 10 minutes to hang up a damned downspout and you literally live walking distance to my house, hell, I can throw a rock that far, I can even do it myself, clown!
I tell him this has been the longest next week one hour experience I've ever had. He said he will give me a discount for the inconveniences.
OK, that is if he shows up...........waiting..............
