When I was growing up there wasn't much awareness about Trans Fats, Sugar, Diabetes, Fitness etc. especially among young people. We ate junk. We ate tons of snack cakes filled with fat and sugar. They served crap in the dormitory. The salad was never washed and always led to food poisoning. The cooked food was safe, but unhealthy. It was bad.
The current generation is more educated. People these days are more aware about diet and fitness. Everyone goes to the gym these days. I run 4 to 5 days a week even when I am on my extremely heavy periods. People eat more vegetables these days. When I was growing up, people barely ate vegetables. My classmates' parents ate big chunks of pork and beef. I am glad things have changed.
If only I had picked up these habits early in life. It is never too late. It has been a while since I had my fried chicken. I have tofu with vegetables instead.
