If I had a dollar for every time

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve died inside for being unwise and flippant with the energies of my heart open to betrayals that ripped my peace apart all the infatuation which turns into lies I tell myself it’s a repeating pattern that happens everytime holding
On to those that don’t deserve my energy a facade they play cause they don’t like to be alone but as soon as someone else comes they’re gone leaving me in an ocean of pain I wish this urge for connection would cease cause every time I fall it’s in too deep
I get lost in the waves of emotions while they find jobless men to abuse them I peace myself together while I’m at work but people feel it in my presence the doubt the hurt why is the world so unjust I ask God but it seems they don’t give a fuck
