The right and left political parties hold their own set of shared values. They can't help what they believe and how they think. They have their reasons for it. Same as centrists, we have our own way of thinking and understanding things. The automatic hate towards centrists with no logical reasons for the hate just shows how the right and left care more about viewing others as enemies rather than using their brains to think of ways they can get along. Everyone has lost their empathy and humanity and I think it's okay for centrists like myself to be sick and tired of it. It's also okay for us to hold different values on different issues, regardless of which party they tend to align with. I can be pro-LGBTQ+ and anti-abortion at the same time (which I am) and hold strong convictions for such things (as I do). I view each issue as separate and individual rather than accepting all issues on one side or the other. This hate toward centrists is stupid, especially since centrists are probably some of the least hateful people, but I guess extremists just can't take that. Gotta stomp out whatever mixed-viewed rainbow and gray perceptions of this world light that the world has to offer. Always black and white, night and day, good and evil, never any room for nuance. No tan, gray, or rainbow. No midday. No complex character who does both good and bad. For both political parties, it's always "My way or the highway" and then you wonder why centrists like myself exist. I don't have to agree with everything on one side or the other, it's perfectly acceptable to have mixed views or view each topic differently. It's like people forget that every brain thinks and perceives differently. Absolute idiocy. I said what I said, love me or hate me, I don't care. I'm a proud Independent/centrist.

People hate centrists because they have no coherent political position. They just randomly pick contradictory ideologies like items off a menu and combine them together in a frankestein mess of a philosophy just like you are doing.
Their claim that both sides are bad is also a false equivalence, because it claims that democrats, who support free education and healthcare, gay marriage, abortion (sorry to say this to you but abortion is not evil), vaccines to reduce illness rates, clean energy, secularism, and stricter laws against owning dangeous firearms, are more likely to accept facts based on verifiability, and are more likely to listen to criticism, criticize themselves, and improve themselves (sometimes to an excessive degree, like those shitty dems who claim that their party is "too far to the left") to republicans, who want to make everything, including education and healthcare way too costly while blaming it on the common folk for not taking "personal responsibility," ban gay marriage, ban abortion and allow women to die from pregnancy complications, ban vaccines based on false claims about their danger, even as disease rates rise, deny climate change, impose laws based on their arbitrary idiosyncratoc religious beliefs, and allow anyone to own firearms, no matter how deranged the individual is. They have also been imposing tariffs that harmed the economy, stifling criticism while being extremely loud on free speech (hypocrites), and trying to cover up the trump-epstein scandal. And they are unwilling to accept criticism. And don't get me started on all the disinformation they have spread-literally tens of thousands of false claims.
The reason why centrists are a joke is because they like to "participate in politics while not participating in politics" and it just doesn't work. By that i mean that they participate in political discussions while not having stances on issues, thinking that the middle ground is automatically the right option which is a logical fallacy, they refuse to accept facts because to them that's "politically motivated," and think that any change is too radical (for instance, centrists used to think that banning slavery was too big of a change back when it was a hot button issue. Guess how well that aged.) It's ok to be apolitical but participating in politics while not having political stances makes no sense.
And the ironic thing is that centrists are the exact same people they accuse the left and right of being. They accuse both sides of using loaded language against people they disagree with, yet call anyone outside of the center "partisans, extremists, radicals," etc., accuse both sides of being biased, yet are not unbiased themselves as they DO hold political positions, just different ones from the left and right, and accuse both sides of lacking nuance (a word that has honestly become overused), even though common centrist talking points like "both sides are bad" and "the solution is always in the middle" are anything but nuanced. And your post does exactly that.
So yeah, i think that centrist hate is in fact justified. I don't understand what there is to be proud of regarding holding a bunch of random opinions for no reason other than to appear "different and edgy." Keep coping. anonymous 8 minutes ago
