You are not the only one who thought this. I wonder if we were created by extraterrestrials who were preforming gene splicing experiments during their exploration and maybe short term colonization of this planet. Combining genetics from primates, pigs, and horses, and maybe something of their own design and created the "human". And either the human was set free in the wild because the unethical scientist figured "what harm could it do, and who cares?" or maybe the specimin escaped.

The aliens, being mundane, and not so mysterious and fantastical as we make them out to be, and had timelines, schedules, and funding issues like human do now, packed up and moved somewhere else pr orders of their far away "superiors", and didn't bother to clean up their mess. Because they simply didn't care, or the scientist never told them, or they found out and said officer got a real dressing down as well as a reduction in rank by his commanding officers, and it was deemed too expensive/time consuming to try to find the "human".

Imagine if this is how human life started, through curiosity and unethical practices followed by official apathy and bureaucratic red tape from another world.

And yes, humans don't quite fit in to the ecosystem of this planet, and they don't even look like they "fit in". I've noticed this throughout most of my life.
