C'est la vie. He wouldn't be the first man to lose feelings for a woman. You wouldn't be the first woman a man has lost feelings for. On both counts, neither you nor he will be the last.

I would tell you to take it like a man but since you're a woman, and probably a feminist that believes a woman can do anything a man can do, you would probably find that offensive and demeaning.
