F Work!

Your work doesn’t care about you. They don’t care about you as a person but the hours you give them, and those hours are never good enough. My stupid work has the “top employee” bs.. I’ve never won it, despite being there for 10 years and taking on roles not in my description and helping out more than I’m supposed to for the same small salary. I’ve never scored a “goes above and beyond” on assessments. Where is the line? What do I have to do to be considered an exceptional worker when I’m already burning myself into the ground? I’m so overwhelmed and bursting into tears on the stairs but then I see the “star employee” stayed late one night to help with a report and it’s like. Ok. Fuck you I guess.

Anyway. I give up. If my best will never be good enough then they’ll get my average or lower if I feel it. I’m no longer logging in early or late or working through lunch because the CEO forgot a dumb report or needs a word correction and that’s my problem?? I’m logging out dead on 5 and removing all work apps from my phone. I was a dumb bitch to even think anything I did would be appreciated. Rookie mistake..
