There’s this older lady at work that lets rip very loud long farts at the office and no one bats an eye.
I already burst out laughing in front of her twice. But mostly as a nervous reaction. They tell me she has a medical condition and I should not laugh. But I don’t do it to make her feel bad, it’s just a natural reaction.
They are so disruptive, I don’t think I can work there much longer. But the job market sucks now. Don’t know what to do.

seriously, this is not ok. this woman should be put on leave until her medical condition 'clears up'. I worked in a small office with a man who let em rip all day and it was so nasty I swear I have PTSD about it.
Tell HR you need to be reassigned because it's making you nauseated. You shouldn't have to tolerate that disgusting behavior.
Oh and btw, there is medication for excessive gas so don't let this shit continue. Demand to be heard, it's the same as someone wearing a bottle of perfume to work, stinking up the place.

You do not have to put up with this. This is a health hazard, and could possibly be legally considered a hostile workplace if they do nothing about it. And I don't care if people respond to me with "How dare you! She has a medical condition, you are discriminating BLAH BLAH BLAH". There are places where the line get drawn and this is one of them. And why should her coworkers suffer? She needs to be put on medical leave to see a doctor about this, and if it can't fixed, she can apply for disability.
