Ego Invested or Just an Ass Kisser
When I was young, I used to be a people pleaser but realized at the end of my school years how it only hurts me in the end. So, I stopped. I stopped caring what others thought of me and did what I felt was right. Unfortunately, every teaching job I worked had nothing but ass kissers and egocentric people. No in-between. Because I'm either, I'm ostracized and not looked favorably upon by management. I'm sick of it. I already hate parenting someone else's children but hate even more being around insufferable coworkers who either throw you under the bus to save themselves or who assume everything right with the world that I just need to deal with it.
