Dodging Zelensky

In Ukraine, Zelensky is tightening pressure on men of call-up age 18 to 60 living abroad by temporarily suspending consular services, amid a wider overhaul of the country’s mobilization - as if he can beat Russia in a war of attrition in men and machinery, which he can't in this War of Drones.

Many of the US tanks Zelensky begged for have been easily destroyed by drones and the remaining have be moved to protected areas to preserve them. Russia's supply of cheap drones is unmitigable and bottomless. They can help them leverage the almost 4 to 1 advantage in men, causing Ukraine to wear theirs down from having to work 4 times harder. Broke down soldiers are more likely to make fatal mistakes on the field.

Maybe Zelensky can wrangle a free chocolate bar for those who return, even though chocolate is lethal for him. The smarter ones will just wait out the 7 months left the best they can where they are to see how the US elections shake out, knowing a Trump win means Zelensky will be the one in need of emergency consular services from whatever country that offers him safe passage out of Ukraine. But really where is safe, a UK tea house or park? And tall buildings with windows are everywhere. Even if Biden does win, Zelensky may be up for a war without end, but there's a larger than reported percentage of Ukrainians who aren't. His boy is 9, so time will tell if dad sends him out to the front when the draft age might need to be lowered to 16.
