Do you have strict parents too?

Oh my DAYSSS. Fyi, im a teenager, okay?!?! My parents still see me as a vulnerable kid whos got no where to go. Tell me why, i was watching the new spiderman movie (spoilers) where “MJ” & Spiderman kissed. My mother told me to cover my eyes. I thought she was deadass joking but she threw a fit at me. Eyes wide, teeth & jaw clenched. She grabbed my wrists and made me close my eyes. Practically everyone is watching me, now. Agghh. I had to show a valid ID for this movie and my mom just wakes up one day & decides to treat her eldering daughter like a helpless baby. Dont get me wrong, you might agree with my mom on this. Having friends near my mom is a total nightmare, I mean, I love her, but she gets out of control sometimes. “What were they talking about?” Or “They dress weird.” Okay mom, we get it, you hate teens. Having a relationship? Having a ruined future and becoming a homeless person & waiting in line in a school outreach program for a soggy chicken sandwhich and a plastic bottle of water? Whats the difference? No difference is what my mom would say. This is very reasonable, but in sixth grade I was dating this boy, and we’d always chat on whatsapp or snapchat. My parents, at that time where they could not trust me at all that time, went through every single message. “Vess, who is *name*? Why do you keep sending I-love-you messages?” I was speechless because I know my parents would kill me if i had a bf. I was even LGBTQ+ and I guess I’ll never be accepted to this day. My mom told me if i dont end things with my person, my dreams will be ruined.
