Welp, even an crazy person like RFK can have a sane moment or two. The artificial food coloring should have been removed from the US food chain long ago like Europe did from theirs. Next he needs to undo that unholy deal ADM did in the 80's conning US sugar producers into maneuvering high fructose corn syrup into just about everything eaten here in the US by getting them to convince Reagan to limit cheaper imported sugar that made the price of US sugar skyrocket leaving ADM high fructose corn syrup a cheaper alternative for food manufacturers. Sure sugar isn't good for you either but compared to high fructose corn syrup sugar is like aspirin while high fructose corn syrup is like oxycodone.

We keep saying "we need" but will the actually do it? Only if the US profit machine gives the blessing and of course you know it won't, so don't expect this to change any time soon in America. You might as well be wishing for a unicorn because that is just as likely to happen.

What's crazy is that I was filled up with the "US is the best country in the world" propaganda while I was growing up, and of course I believed it. But now it seems western and northern Europe has besting us in every way. They are much more progressive and actually give a damn about their own citizens. The US has the military might and a huge amount of raw money flowing through it but to me that really does not mean shit. That alone does not make a country "great".

Also with all of the GMO and chemical crap that is put into food (or "food") , and that the long term effects of are not really that well known, I wonder if this is contributing greatly to the mental health crisis in America today? There seems to be a general cognitive decline as well, and I am not saying that as a MAGA/Trump related slam either.

So basically, we got a bunch of for-profit tycoons with no morals who have been in charge of our food supply for decades, doctoring it with all sorts of potentially harmful and unnatural crap with the aim of minimizing business costs and maximising profits. And we have this mental health and cognitive ability crisis in America. I can put 2 and 2 together here. :-/

All health matters are subject to the PROFiT metric...if it pays , then it stays. The health of the kindsom's subjects is not a concern of the rulers.
