i’ve had to ask my boyfriend to buy me flowers, ask him to compliment me more, and ask him to sext, ask him to tell me he wants me sexually and wants to eat me out. i know it’s both our first relationships and right now we’re long distance but i bought him the first flowers, i bought him the first uber eats dinner when he was tired (we’re continents apart), i compliment him everyday, im quitting cigarettes for him, i cut off a close friend for him (ex sort of situationship but best friend, i completely get why but it’s still something i have done for him), i posted him on my social media, i do everything i can for this man in the basic ways (obviously i’ve done billions more) . but im so hurt.
i’m your girlfriend. why did i have to wait 2-3 months to ask for flowers? of course i want flowers, im a girl. of course i want more than one compliment every two weeks. i’m a fucking girl. of course i want you to tell me you want to eat me out, im just a human who wants to feel sexually wanted. my heart is so heavy i feel like i bother him with these things so much but i don’t want to settle for less but i hate asking for such basic things. i’m 20 and he’s 21. its not like we’re 13 and just learning. how have you not learnt how to treat a girl by now through social media? he’s so amazing in so many other ways but it hurts he doesn’t think of the basics. i don’t want to ask for these things. i’ve cried over asking him for flowers, what kind of girlfriend has to ask for flowers?
