There's a perfect example of why AI computer algorithms shouldn't be deciding on people's healthcare or other important life altering matters: The DEI scrubbing debacle going on at the DOD taking down honored and historical pages and websites, sometimes with such ludicrously as removing a historical site on the Enola Gay plane for DEI because of the word "gay". In the Trump Administration's racist, misogynist, anti-LGTBQ view of what DEI is, the AI algorithm to search and eradicate it is going to be skewed to the culture of the people using it. Trump & the people surrounding him think everyone non-white, non-male, non-straight is an unqualified DEI hire, so their algorithm to search and eradicate, by using their word parameters in particular, everything associated with DEI have been an excellent primer on why algorithms are not as impartial or fair when making decisions as they are touted to be.
