They don't really exist.

It's either people who knew one another growing up, still hanging around because there's no one else. Or, you get to try to force/fake friendships with shitty new people from work/school. Jumping through hoops to arrange some little sitcom-esque romp at a bar/restaurant/concert one time, when deep down you know it's not real.

Basically, you've got your boy/girlfriend and probably not anyone else. Hopefully that person doesn't suck.

Media needs to be more representative of this reality, and not inserting politics into everything.

it takes a lifetime to find your tribe but eventually you will and it will be small and will possibly include a family member or two
only a handful of people will be with you throughout life and those who can't stick it out through the good and the bad aren't worth it anyway
find those people you really treasure, everyone must work within each persons idiosyncrasy's and not let it be deal breakers
