adult friendships
They don't really exist.It's either people who knew one another growing up, still hanging around because there's no one else. Or, you get to try to force/fake friendships with shitty new people from work/school. Jumping through hoops to arrange some little sitcom-esque romp at a bar/restaurant/concert one time, when deep down you know it's not real.
Basically, you've got your boy/girlfriend and probably not anyone else. Hopefully that person doesn't suck.
Media needs to be more representative of this reality, and not inserting politics into everything.
