TV Smart

we've all heard of the term book smart, but there seems to be another more common and stupider version that I like to call "TV smart." These are people whose entire understanding of life and the world comes from TV. Book smart people are intelligent academically and just don't know much of how life and the world works, TV smart people are total fucking dumbasses that possess no academic knowledge and think people and the world operate in the unrealistic manner that they do on sitcoms.

their understanding of milestones come from TV. Let me explain. they think "growing up" is moving into a house because that's what the characters on Friends did on the last episode. They think real life work environments are like The Office and will never know any better because they either A have never and will never hold a job, or B work some cushy ass position where they do nothing and constantly loudly quote stupid shit in front of everyone.

these people tend to be chronically online as well, so everything is "inflation inflation oh my gawd inflation" and they eat McDonalds all the time which I hate to break it to ya was always fucking overpriced. Covid and inflation didn't cause that, despite what some YouTube retard might say.
