This is also going to contribute to lowering the nations GDP, which in the perverse mind of Trump World could be considered a half ass, round about way to lower inflation. Like they think tariffs are a good thing. California contributes 14% to the GDP, that's about $3.9T. It's the largest economy of the US and the 4the largest in the world, with agriculture & manufacturing being top money makers and these industry workers are the ones being targeted by ICE, not MS-13 gang members who won't be so easy to catch because they don't go to work as productive members of society.

Go after immigrants, even legal citizens including that poor fellow from Germany who got unjustly beaten up inside a detention area at Logan International Airport by the immigration cops, bad enough that he was hospitalized.....say that transgender people don't exist and are these non human monsters...this is how it starts. First go after what people see as the lowest rung of society because most people won't say anything about it, and at the same time they get some "batting practice" in, and establish themselves. Then they broaden their mission to include more and more groups. This is where the "First they came for..." came from, because the exact same thing happened in Nazi Germany. Go after the groups the public don't give a damn about and despise and work your way up from there. And now Trump is cutting the leash on the agents in LA, allowing them to do stuff that was unspeakable just a year ago. Ramming a car with children inside, lobbing pepper balls at it and into it on a busy street in broad daylight because the man driving the car committed simple assault against an ICE agent earlier in the day. It's hard to describe what is going on adequately in words but basically these agents were playing vengeful cowboy at high noon, rather than issuing a warrant for his arrest or letting LAPD deal with him. It won't be long until these agents just start shooting people, maybe go so far as summary executions. Over a punch or a spit that happened hours earlier with no imminent lethal threat from the suspect.
