The people braying on about the 1980s

The people that keep braying "I wAnT tO lIvE iN tHe 80z" never actually lived in the 80s, and if they did get sent back in that time they wouldn't like it. For one thing, they wouldn't have a smart phone, or any kind of cellphone. Nor a massively powered gaming rig that can play Fortnite or Minecraft at 100fps. Most people did not have a computer of any kind at home, and the ones that existed are far bested by the cheapest prepaid smartphones you can find at a drugstore today, and those computers were expensive. The cost to performance was absolute shit

Also, younger generations today tend to engage in behaviors that would've gotten them instantly beat up in the 1980s.

I actually lived in the 80s, and it wasn't as good as people looking back at it with rose tinted glasses make it out to be. Yes, many of today's problems didn't exist back then but it wasn't a paradise either.
