Stereotypical things gays love

I'm technically part of the rainbow, so I can make this rant. Even if I wasn't, I still should be able to. People shouldn't be silenced, and no one is special for whoever they find sexy.

Here's what I don't get. Why do gay men worship these "tragic" female figures? Julie Garland, Princess Diana, Britney Spears? I don't get it. Why are they like superheroes to them?

And Wizard of Oz. I haven't seen that movie since I was like nine. It remains a beloved movie to people and will remain that, which is good for those who like it. I never really thought it was that great. I get that 60-70 years ago it was like Harry Potter combined with Marvel and Star Wars due to there not being much else in terms of movies that provide escapist fantasy. I just don't get why gay men adore the movie so much.

Same with Golden Girls. I remember my mother having it on that show when I was a kid. Thought it was boring. I have seen bits of it as an adult. I get now that it's a bunch of old ladies talking about fuckin, and that the really old short one is the dirtiest which is kinda funny I guess. But why is this show considered like holy to gay men?

And why do gay men "claim" things? Like I LOVE the Spice Girls, and don't get why all of the subreddits and shit of Spice Girls have to be all about LGBT shit. It's a band that made some good music. It should be for everyone.
