The only understanding one needs to know about the Good Book of Fairytales is that it was written by men and has been edited many times over the millenniums to align with the views of the rulers in power. One could just as easily fashion their future on the Complete Prophesies of Nostradamus.
It is so easy to control people when they've been brain washed by what they read in a book of fiction, especially if it is promised some great reward for doing so. And Trump knows how to run a con, putting that to good use.
