You put your loyalty into the spouse, and now you've got the spouse and no one else.Disclaimer. I'm not talking about something like a kid wants a toy, asks Mom who says no, then they ask Dad and Dad stands by Mom. What I'm talking about are shit parents who behave like children, and the children have to be like the parent in making sacrifices and doing without, all so the parents can get whatever they want. Mom kisses Dads ass and enables him, and vice versa. It's all okay because Mom gets money, and Dad gets sex. Again, don't be surprised when your children grow up and have nothing to do with your asses.
