My crush likes someone else

Okay, so.... I actually like my best friend, we've been friends for 2 or 3 years and I started liking him before some months. We usually talked about relationship problems with each other, so it's no big deal for him to tell me about his hook-ups right? But u know me liking him and everyone shipping us together I'm feeling a bit weird. Kinda jealous may I say. And like I don't know what to do. I am for sure happy for him to find a girlfriend and be happy but what about me? It's selfish I know but I really can't help it. I don't want to tell him not talk to me about it because we're friends and I don't want to lose him. Also, I wanna know what's happening with them. Should I get over him? I mean I already like some other guys but not as much as him. I feel hopeless. Maybe if I was prettier and thinner he would like me instead. Maybe I should distance myself for a while. I really don't know
