My coworker kind of suck

I am so angry about my workplace dynamic. I had to take a pay cut and work in an office over work from home just so I could get a job because my industry is tanked. I have worked a similar job before and my coworkers made quite the difference in how shitty the job was. This workplace is a bit better in terms of how good the overall vibes are but it's not great either. And yes, I realize most jobs suck but it really sucks when you don't have a choice.

My biggest issue is that the person that I work with the "closest" is the hardest to get along with. They aren't mean or anything in the traditional sense. They are polite and try their best to teach the responsibilities that come with the role. HOWEVER. No matter how many times I try to talk to them casually or get to know them remotely, the completely brush me off. I make a joke? Silence. I ask how their weekend was? "good. yours?" I try and talk to them in a group setting? Practically ignored. It's gotten to the point where I've talked to them privately (very casually with no aggressiveness) if I upset them or did something. They answered no why and I explained I was overthinking. literally the same week, the few coworkers I have and I are having a convo and the same thig happens. Ignored. Every single word I say gets ignored. It's gotten to the point where I get so defeated that i go sit down. and no one cares. I don't have to be your friend, but you don't have to be dicks. Learn to be inclusive, it's not that hard. Even if you don't like me, it's so degrading to completely ignore a person's presence.

I don't know how long I'll make it if this continues. It's only been 4 freaking months. I wish they would fucking let me work from home.
