Not a Trump fan here, but really DA Willis was totally inept and unqualified for a case of this magnitude that would require everything to be above reproach. She knew who she was dealing with, and it wasn't her usual run of the mill cases where the attrition of a defendant to be convicted is based on money. Usually the state's financial resources will overcome the ability of a defendant to bend the law to favor themselves. Trump had the money, and the power to apply it, to look for cracks in the case which he found. The DA compromised the case and gave him a free pass by putting her lover on the case. This case was way over anyone's pay grade in the Fulton County, GA District Attorney's office to prosecute with Fani Willis seeming like the worst choice they could have made.
