^its not liberal to be pro union. Its liberal to support the rule of law and liberalism. Canadians are liberal the union party doesnt ever win there. Unions are not liberals they are backward uneducated communists many of them. Liberals are mods. Sorry if that offends you but its true. Most normal mods or liberals don't support unions other then to treat people with reasonable conditions and dignity. In practice that contradicts what unions do because unions usually undermine conditions by trying to destroy industries then when wages are in free fall they try to extort employers into raising wages so people are dependant upon unions for a basic living after the unions trashed it in the first place... without unions if a fair legal system, well run non corrupt economy you are better off without unions. Its not they ought not have a right to exist its their behaviour coercion, malpractice, corruption widespread, fraudulent behaviour, those stupid beards, they are always overweight putting strain on the health system, encourages extreme ideologies and thug Behaviour. Like you see people around the world they travel in the less union countries strangers from the same place are like very friendly. In unionised places there is more division extreme views considered normalised. In canada for example unions are a joke and canadians get along with eachother much better because unions arent trying to exercise authority because they know most people vote against them and always will.
