I'm sick of this site, honestly

Can't do shit here without being yelled at by people whose brains barely function.

Nobody here is mature enough to have a decent conversation. I dare you, try to have a genuine *conversation* with somebody and not just an argument.

The difference is with an argument, it's two people with conflicting beliefs fighting to win. With a conversation, it's two people, often with conflicting beliefs, discussing matter they both find important and, while in the end nobody's mind will change, they view of the people who harbor an opposite opinion often does, actually being able to see them as people.

I want to have discussions. and while, yes, in the past my methods of getting discussions were not effective, that doesn't change it wasn't entirely my fault I only got fight after fight.

There have been maybe 2 or 3 people total that have left positive or even smart comments on my posts, and those weren't even the posts I would want to hear people speak.

Every time somebody comes at me it's always got a "Fuck you" or "Kill yourself" in it somewhere and, while yes I am a perpetrator of this myself, that doesn't make it okay or either of us any more right.

I've been conflicted about the message I want to convey on this website by merely existing on it, do I want "Ruination" to befall those I hate? Those who hate me? No... now I think about it I don't want that. What I want is to be able to talk with people who think different and share real conversations, not useless and contentious hurting words, because those solve every problem ever.

I just want, for once on this site, to not be yelled at.

I won't change my views, I can't, it goes against everything I stand for. Yes, I support Trump, Yes I support his actions, Yes I voted for him, Yes I was relieved when he won, and yes, most importantly, I am a human being who's values go beyond the political party I choose to identify with, just like a person's personality goes beyond race, gender, religion, background, or anything.

I just want people to be able to see where i'm coming from, which is hopefully not a place of open hostility, and just agree to disagree, with kindness.

If one person could just do that here everything would be so much more worth it.

I don't care if you become Christian, I don't care if you become a trump voter, I don't care, I don't want or need that. I want to be able to talk and hear competent voices back.

That's a tall order for a site like this, I know.
