History Keeps Repeating

So, the Coca-Cola (Coke) company has stated they are going to remain pro-DEI, reaffirming support of their DEI efforts. Hope they do better with it this time than they did in South Africa under apartheid. Their corporate revisionist history touting themselves as one of the first large companies to pull out of apartheid South Africa is a total lie. What they actually did was sell off their South African interests, bottling and syrup making, to black owned business and still raked in huge profits selling Coke in South Africa, doing nothing really to address the racial inequity of the racist brutal South African apartheid system the black businessmen would still be living under, and still enriching it by doing business there albeit though black SA 3rd parties making the Coke products. US anti-apartheid activists saw right thought this Coke ploy and boycotted the company. That's what helped push Pepsi into the number 2 slot for cola it recently lost to Dr. Pepper. Pepsi has stated they will cease their DEI initiatives, putting them on the wrong side of this future history, and Coke should they remain true to their word on the correct side. There's always Dr. Pepper if they don't, but no word on the DEI views of German owner JAB Holding Company, who recently donated millions to Jewish organizations as acknowledgement of the company's WW2 Nazi ties.
