It was Trump in his 1st term that started the ball rolling to ban tiktok, and Biden since it was a long hanging fruit for a bipartisan victory check off since it was "The Evil Commie Chinese Govenment" just keep the ball rolling to where we are now, but with Trump changing his mind since tiktok was a helpful tool to get him reelected, so in his 2nd term looks like he'll be on team tiktok and try and prevent a permanent ban. Tiktok is just caught up in politics because the Chinese Government can spy and get info on US social app users indirectly anyway by from hacking the US based ones that the US Government cares less about that they spy and hoover up vast amounts of their user's info just like tiktok.
