DONT move to Thailand especially Bangkok

Bangkok is possibly the worst place I have ever lived. Let me preface this by saying I have lived in 2 other foreign countries and never experienced even half of the bullshit I have had to put up with here. Japan and Vietnam were great. Both were places I felt safe, financially and physically secure and I never felt like I was actually going to starve on the streets without anyone giving two shits. In addition, the visa processes in both countries were relatively simple and problem-free. You only had to deal with it once per year, or even once every 2 years, in the case of Japan. In Thailand? Nope. The government requires EVERY FOREIGN RESIDENT to report once every 90 days. Or they fine you. There are a LOT of foreigners in Thailand. Which means, every 90 days, you have to take a day off work and spend an entire day in an immigration office. It is asinine.

And let's talk about the cost of living. Probably most people have this impression of Bangkok being a super cheap and affordable paradise where people hardly need to work and just relax all day. WRONG. In fact, I have never seen a place where people are more overworked and yet nobody ever has any money. The only people who can afford anything are the rich Arabs, Chinese and Europeans who come here on holiday, retired people, or the wealthy dynastic Thai-Chinese. I live in a very cheap apartment, subsist on budget food and have a relatively high wage considering the other factors and yet I feel like I live below the poverty level. HOW THE FUCK DO PEOPLE MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO SURVIVE AND EVEN THRIVE HERE unless they are actually snatching handbags for a living or doing something incredibly dodgy.

And for some reason, everyone thinks this is a great place to be. They get that impression because they come here on holiday and Thai people can act charming for money. They fucking love money. Ask them if they would rather have money or anything else, including world peace, true love, a clean Earth.
They would prefer money to anything. These people would prefer to bathe in and swim in money like Scrooge McDuck. They would slit their own cousin's throat for 100 baht probably. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. Additionally, they have no problem cheating other people out of their money, both through acts of bureaucracy and acts of atrocity. They are NOT nice people. And they think every person who is from Europe, America, Japan, Korea and Australia are all filthy fucking rich cash cows who deserve to be milked for their money and then discarded like a filthy empty husk. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. You don't believe me, try dragging a 1000 baht bill behind you on a fishing line down Soi Cowboy. You would probably be pulling about 300 gogo girls behind you in about 10 seconds flat.

For some reason, the majority of the Western men are so fucking stupid that they actually fall for these crass gold-digging women (and sometimes even imitation women). I guess the main draw here is looks. A lot of the women are very pretty, at least on the surface, but if you scratch that surface they are evil harpy banshees who look like another person when they wake up in the morning. They wear on average about 1 to 2 inches of makeup and very little in the way of clothing. But men are extremely dumb anyway.

Anyway, my point is, if you are envisioning a tropical paradise where you can relax and drink coconut milk, choose VIETNAM and avoid THAILAND. This place is one big gentrified tourist trap money suck.
