I wonder how Disney will be perceived in 50-100 years. If it'll continue to grow and remain a cult of personality, or if the company finally crumble to where it'll be almost or completely dead.
It'd be interesting to see how future scholars look at Disney Adults, and if that sub culture will eventually go the way of bronies. Would they understand that Disney Adults are mostly just spoiled assholes refusing to grow up, with a couple descent emotionally stunted people are thrown into the mix? How the lies and propaganda of Disney are very appealing to both spoiled assholes and people who didn't get to have childhoods. How the lie of "Everything is perfect and normal at Disney and if you consume, you can experience the magic" is pretty fucking manipulative.
Then the parks themselves. The place isn't the technological marvel idiots pretend it is. It was always poorly run and kind of shitty. With it's aging architecture, it's clearer each year how much the whole place is basically just a mid-grade hotel resort, jacked up to an insane price. So many of the things either don't work or are barely working, and the company seems hellbent on changing everything original into Marvel/baby movie themed shit. I could see them eventually getting rid of Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Country Bears, pissing off loyal fans, and making an already apathetic public question more of why go to Disney at all.
I predict eventually the Marvel/Star Wars shit will probably go the wayside. Almost every ride is barely there through endorsements, and eventually those contracts expire. Disney movies seem to have less cultural relevance with each release, and NO ONE wants to see the inevitable Toy Story 10 or 88th Lion King rehash. Some of their old movies are good, and most are thankfully able to separate a few good movies from the poisoned branding/culture of this fucked up company. In other words they'll continue to like Aladdin, but maybe not spend $3000 for a two day vacation to go on a poorly maintained magic carpet ride at a Disney park.
a few descent movies

The parks themselves will probably suffer a slow death. They're already seeming to hemorrhage money. I could see it to where only Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood are opened on certain days. Retard fucks would defend the decision. Then eventually everything would be slowly stripped from those parks, and people would begin to notice and film it for Youtube. Then one by one the parks will close for good, leaving only Magic Kingdom. Then Magic Kingdom would eventually close.
Theme parks were never supposed to be this personality type that it's become. They were supposed to be a cheap, fun, maybe slightly campy way to have fun. It's not supposed to be a place you revolve your entire existence around. anonymous 3 hours ago
I would rather go to Vegas. Play some roulette and watch some Chippendales and Lady Gaga. anonymous 3 hours ago
