They want us dead, and it's been a problem for a long ass time. One summer I took two classes in CC to finish a little quicker, but being an adult I also needed money and no one would hire me outside of manufacturing, logistics, and construction. No felonies or anything, but I'm a pretty big non-white dude. Anywho, as you can imagine temps didn't really want to hire me either because those industries either see a ton of OT or barely 40 hours. In this case, the company I ended up at was putting in almost 70 hours a week with 5-12s (60 hours) + an extra 8-10 shift. All 3rd shift at that.

So I'd do school during normal hours, go home, sleep for maybe 3-4 hours if I was lucky, and then drive half an hour to work for a 12-hour shift. I said something about my fitness, and despite all that had plenty of out of touch redditors telling me i had 30 minutes to go on a run because THEY HAVE 30 MINUTES TO GO ON A RUN.

I really didn't have time for shit, AND I was working 3rd shift. That. Shit. Will. Kill. You. The. Shift. Premium. Is. Not. Because. They. Care. About. You.

So, yeah, now I finally got a degree but I'm on Medicaid atm. My right shoulder is weak as hell. Fall on it wrong? Sleep on it wrong? It'll be months before I can use it again. In the gym can't bench or lift as much as I used to cause my right can't keep up with my left. Fucking assholes are out of touch with reality and you're completely right shits disgusting.

Oh and between it all, including an emergency surgery that went worse than the surgeons expected and a trip to grippy socks wonderland brought on by uni admins I had to move back home. My mom's trailer park won't let me own a car and she's pretty deep in the suburbs. Can't afford an uber and the gov't knows I can't own a car cause I submitted the threat to tow mine to them for it to be on the record.

Even with my degree can't get a cushy job unless I work for myself either because recruiters see I worked at Amazon, and then assume all I'm good for is moving boxes around or babysitting machines. My programming background is irrelevant to them. My Six Sigma black belt meaning I'm more of an expert in Six Sigma than likely any of their managers on the floor is irrelevant. Literally everything except my work experience which isn't even that great is irrelevant.

They want us dead because their solution to those problems are then to go to the gym, go to therapy, and get on meds. None of which are affordable or possible if your job isn't flexible or has a good work life balance, wage, and insurance plan. Shits fucking stupid and so many fucking people happily go along with this shit and wonder why people like me constantly want to kill ourselves. Really? It's a fucking mystery? Really?

pull your fucking head out your ass. Most people who've worked with me would tell you that I'm fucking insane for working as hard as I do: regularly doing the work of several people or doing literally whatever teh fuck my boss asks me cause shits gotta get done. I've had bosses say I'm a fast learner too, so it's not like I'm some fucking idiot who can't get shit done. These people don't fucking care because we aren't people to them until we're gone and they can't replace us. It's not until our families are pissed and writing obituaries about our lives they finally give a damn and see the error in their ways, and it'll never fucking change.

and my gov't knows I can't own a car now because the trailer park threatened to tow that shit. I also happened to apply for SSI because even though I got a degree I'm done with people's bullshit, including the trailer park accusing me of threatening them over my car. No police report. No real investigation. Just their letter head, a threat to tow my car because the lease and they're dickheads, and a signature from the park manager. Park Manager addresses me in the body, but addressed it to someone else in the house. I'm on the lease and was when she first moved in. We've all been helping one another for over a decade now.

So, yeah, fuck it. I say play their games where you can. Take their shit and throw it in their face and use their bullshit to help you survive. Fuck them. Perpetual and professional fucking victims because we aren't members of the fucking elite class.
