City of ember movie adaptation is so fucking bad o

I read the book then I watched the movie and HOLY FUCK the movie is fucking terrible. First of all why were the bugs big putting people underground doesn't suddenly make them small not how that works but okay. SECOND OF ALL om the fucking people of fucking ember had fucking movable light. That's literally the main reason in the book no one tried to leave because they couldn't make light moveable. AND OMG I feel like in the book they figure out what everything means very slowly like they actually figure it out but in the movie they just knew without decoding it. Plus doon is meant to be 12/13 but looks 28 what is up with that? Also why did they never get the notebook that was like the best part because then they know what happened. It's like whoever made the movie read a couple pages at random and was like "YEP OKAY I TOTALLY KNOW THIS NOW". Plus Why didn't she buy the pencil from looper? I feel like that was important because it showed the temptation of how she wanted a new word very much she just didn't get her grandma a jacket. AND WHY DID THEY MAKE HER GRANDMA DIE SO FAST? She didn't die that fast in the book. There is so much more I could point out my I'm already so pissed I don't want to do that shit. They added so many unnecessary things and didn't add some important details. It feels like they just wanted to get the movie done as fast as possible. Very rushed and just fucking terrible
