Bezos Trump Quid Pro Quo

Trump is not hiding his predilection for authoritarianism. He has in plain sight eroded the US pillars of our free society: Our democracy, which he has outright tried to overthrow 1/6, and coopted with his own maga legislators who do only his bidding. And the free press that is supposed to be the people's eyes and ears to help keep our democracy safe from the likes of Trump.

A couple of weeks ago Trump sat live on FOX News and stated that he'd be speaking personally with owner Rupert Murdoch about removing Harris ads from FOX stations. Sure FOX/News Corp is Murdoch's, but he does have to operate within US law that states he cannot discriminate political ads that are shown on his networks; they pay, they play, it's US law. And now just days before the election, with Harris still tied and in some polls slightly ahead, two of the largest newspapers in the country have had their editorial board decisions to endorse Harris overruled by their owners. At the about same time the decision came down at the WaPo owned by Amazon/Blue Origin owner Jeff Bezos, several of his company executive were seen meeting with Trump. What other quid pro quo got traded besides nixing the Harris endorsement? Obviously Bezos and his WaPo have thrown in their lot with a person who wants to be a dictator and can no longer be considered a respected and impartial newspaper. They are now on the same level as FOX News a Maga partisan joke.
