AITA for wanting a day off after my cat died?

I lost my cat of 18 years yesterday. He was my last kitty and I had him since I was only a child.

Despite this my sister still demanded I show up for work and watch her child. I told her to find someone else cause I’m not showing up and when she told me I HAD to show up I hung up on her ass.

Now my brother in law and sister are both saying I was rude. Sorry I wasn’t in a happy go lucky mood after my cat fucking died

My mother offered to watch the child but of course my sister said no “that’s too long for him to be away from home” was her reasoning. So fuck me ig

My brother in law has an entire month of PTO idk if it resets every year but like damn. You couldn’t use a SINGULAR day out of 31 so I can grieve in peace?

Idk I always feel like they expect the golden carpet treatment just cause they raw dogged.
