No, that's not how it works. Women are socialized to be emotionally vulnerable and make friends more easily than men. That's why you see almost no women actively trying to pursue romance with men while the opposite is true the other way around where all the men want to pursue romance with women. Because men are socialized to be stoic and strong and "alpha" and not show emotional vulnerability, so men think a girlfriend is their only way out of feeling lonely and into a realm of deep relationships with people. It's not that a girlfriend will solve your problems, it's that you think a girlfriend will solve your problems because toxic masculinity and heteronormative culture takes away the little means through which men can express themselves in a healthy way and then wonder why all the men are unhappy. Yeah, I wish for the downfall of toxic masculine culture.
