A corona vaccine is not going to be the panacea that 45 touts. Best case scenario is it at least works as well as the current flu vaccines, and that's not the greatest at 40-60%. An added complication is the requirement that some of the corona vaccines in testing will require specialized ultra cold -50 to -80 degree Celsius freezers to store instead of standard refrigeration, so that's going to hamper full nationwide distribution as some hospitals & vaccination facilities are not going to have funding to purchase them -- if they can find them at all. This means that a long term power outage can wipe out a hospital's supply as generator power has to be rationed for patient care, while a couple of truckloads of bagged ice will do nicely to safely keep a vaccine requiring only refrigeration. How did these drug companies get funding for such a limiting vaccine solution? The answer may be found in how close of a relationship the company CEO has with 45.
