Very easy fix for the high egg problem. But Trump's not got the right guy, RFK, in position to do it. Stop culling all the birds of the flock when some come down with Bird Flu, vaccinate them. Farmers, larger commercial ones especially, are hesitant to vaccinate because they lose money because they can't sell out of the country because although the bird might be healthy, it might not be Bird Flu free - a "Typhoid Mary". The vaccination protocol will be an automatic international sale banning red flag Bird Flu has officially become the endemic problem that everyone knows it already is.

So what about vaccinations and national national sales? Most people don't understand how their food is produced. A chicken is a chicken whether its an egg layer or raised for meat and they all get Bird Flu, but poultry meat has not risen like eggs because those poultry farmers can/do discretely mitigate a sick or dispose of a dead bird with no one being the wiser, and people do cook chicken to germ killing temps after applying sanitary protocols they already know to do for salmonella that works for bird flu as well.

Egg farmers can't operate like that, their production is intensive, 1 laying chicken/1person is the industry goal, a dip in production can't be covered up, and will eventually call for a farm inspection into the problem why that is. So egg farmers do not try to salvage a flock. Everybody eats eggs, including vegetarians, and egg farmers also know a lot of people still foolishly consume them - like raw in smoothies, or under cooked to use the runny yolks as "gravy". With an enforced nationwide vaccination of flocks, along with reenforcing cooking eggs correctly for safe egg consumption egg prices will drop significantly.
