my mom is on my dick.. i bought tarot cards for personal use because i've been into spirituality since 2021?? i've been doing consecutive research and when i decide to buy tarot cards my mom goes ballistic and tells me im bringing the devil into her house. ONE, it's not even part of the same religion. TWO, stop acting like you're a holy woman when you havent step foot on church property since 2022. two whole years. you claim to be such a strong believer but you dont even practice your beliefs??? sure you wear crosses and have lady guadalupe statues across the house, but when's the last time you went to church on a sunday?? when's the last time you prayed when it wouldn't benefit you, but instead to connect yourself with God?? i have respect for every religion and i'm educated in many, but i am not going to have ANYONE disrespect my beliefs when i do nothing but respect theirs. she even went as far as to say tarot cards caused her cancer??? and the cards are how people get possessed???? and people who do paranormal investigations use tarot cards to connect with the devil???? idk what kinda religious psychosis she's got going on. but she's also so uneducated and disrespectful. she wants everyone to respect catholicism and christianity, but she has dreamcatchers, bhudda figures, and many other religious/cultural things in her home??? that she bought from TOURIST SPOTS? she actually gets on my nerves so much when it comes to things like these, she's so blatantly ignorant it's actually shocking. i tried to tell her that tarot cards are just answering guides, that YOU pick the cards, not anyone else. your subconscious, not some demon or ghost on the other side. but with my mom being my mom, she tried to educate me on something **I** was researching for years. she saw like maybe three tiktoks?? i just hate when i'm not allowed to disagree with her. every single time we argue she just forces me to stfu and let her yap till i can walk away. little does she know i already have a tarot deck that she doesnt know about, i just wanted another that was less vague :3
