[500] If the founding fathers were to be resurrected...

Do you think they would have major influence in today's political situation? Remember they would hold know office -- just be like a former president. I sometimes wonder what would happen if they were to be brought back to life (even though it's impossible). I just look around and realize they wouldn't even recognize their own country. They could walk around and point out unconstitutional laws.. No more trying to interpret what they really meant. They could clarify. Do you think our government would listen? Or just ignore them?

  • I think they wouldn't point it out because society has evolved and the consitution along with it. I think they left it so elastic because they couldn't possibly predict the changes that the world would go through, and how close communications would become.

As for what they think, Thomas Jefferson, as well as Adams would be outraged with the rise of cities
and the jurisdiction of the federal government. Washington would be disgusted with the manners of the country and also our imbedded party lines. Franklin would probably be in awe at the innovation.
Hamilton might be intrigued by the banking system? Ha.
And I believe Madison would be fascinated by the varying opinions of the state, and would want to find a more efficient way for minority voices to be heard.
